Director of Midwifery

Sa-ada is a Midwife on the Obstetric Out-Patient Department (OBS OPD) unit at Korle-bu Teaching Hospital. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Midwifery from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in 2015. She has had postgraduate courses on Leadership in Public Health, University of Nottingham, UK 2022 and Project Management in Global Health, University of Washington, USA 2020.

Sa-ada is a Midwife on the Obstetric Out-Patient Department (OBS OPD) unit at Korle-bu Teaching Hospital. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Midwifery from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in 2015. She has had postgraduate courses on Leadership in Public Health, University of Nottingham, UK 2022 and Project Management in Global Health, University of Washington, USA 2020. She is a Midwife Manager, Preceptor, Mentor and Focal Person for infection prevention control (IPC) in her unit. She is a voluntary public health educator who promotes maternal and new-born health via social media; Tiktok, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram which has earned her the Media Ambassador for her department. She was awarded the Best Midwife Manager, 2021 and Overall Best Staff, 2021 in the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department, Korle Bu Teaching Hospital. Also, the recipient of Best Practicing Midwife Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, 2022 by UNFPA, MOH-GH, GRMA and NARM on the International Day of the Midwife 2022. Sa-ada aspires to be an International Midwifery Consultant who actively participates in national and international policy making and is involved in research projects to improve maternal and infant health in Ghana and beyond. She also desires to manage an organisation which supports adolescent mothers to continue their education, guide and provide reproductive health services like family planning as well as guidance in their career pathway to achieve excellence and independence.
