Abigail is a Critical Care NurseSpecialist at the University of Ghana Medical Centre. She is a self-motivated nurse who loves her job and is optimistic when caring for critically ill patients int he intensive care unit. She is a member of the Ghana College of Nurses andMidwives where she had her specialist certification in 2023. She earned herBachelor of Science degree from the University of Cape Coast (school ofPeri-Operative and Critical Care Nursing) in 2019 and acquired her general nursing education from the Presbyterian Nurses Training College Agogo in 2008.She has a certificate in leadership & management in Global Health from theUniversity of Washington, USA in 2019.
Abigail is currently the head nurse of the neurosurgery ward and ICU, a preceptor, and a mentor for critical care nursing students from the Ghana College of Nurses and Midwives. She was awarded the Presidential Honour for Distinguished Service in March 2023 in recognition of her leadership, passion, commitment, hard work, and sacrifices demonstrated during the peak of the COVID 19 pandemic.
Abigail aspires to be the best in her field of work. She endeavours to be a Clinical Educationist and a great nurse leader involved in policy-making, mentorship, script writing and clinical audit. She also aspires to be an author on youth development and patriotism.
