I
am Gifty Sarfo Annan, an Oncology
Nurse Specialist at Tamale Teaching Hospital with a BSc in Nursing from the
University of Development Studies, an MSc in Advanced Practice Nursing from the
University of Cape Coast and specialized oncology certification from Ghana
College of Nurses and Midwives. Presently, I am a patient navigator and I lead
comprehensive cancer care initiatives, from patient assessment to
interdisciplinary treatment planning, through to survivorship.
As
the founder of Cancer Care for Humanity International, I organize free
screenings and public health campaigns on HPV, breast cancer, and liver cancer
focusing on underserved communities. My research titled "Knowledge,
Attitude and Practices of Women towards Cervical Cancer and Screening at the
Tamale Teaching Hospital" was presented at the 36th International
Papillomavirus Conference (2024). On 1st August, 2025, it got published in
Ghana Journal of Nursing and Midwifery (GJNMID).
I
actively participate in global oncology training programs, including Mayo
Clinic's lecture series, BVGH, and AMPATH's breast and cervical cancer
prevention training program of which I contributed to the development of its
curriculum and a facilitator at AMPATH’S CDM Program.
