Abigail Otu Parry is a Critical Care Nurse Specialist with over sixteen years working experience
as a clinician. She is a graduate nurse with a specialty in critical care
working mainly in the intensive care unit and other acute care areas. She is
currently the head nurse of the Neurosurgery ICU at the University of Ghana
Medical Centre( UGMC)and also the co-lead of the southern Zone of GDNA Ghana
Sector. She is a preceptor for the Ghana College of Nurses and Midwives as well
as the School of Perioperative and Critical Care. She has been part of many
initiatives such setting up intensive care units and its operation and other
volunteering activities. One of her objectives in nursing is to make the
profession better than she met it through mentorship, good leadership and continuous
commitment to excellence and dedication to the call. She believes that nursing
is one of the best opportunities to show love and concern to the people in need
and if done better the world will be a better place.
