Biography

Miss Augustina Amoah is an accomplished nurse leader with a proven track record in the public and private healthcare sectors. She has built a career distinguished by her expertise in clinical care, healthcare management, patient safety, quality improvement, and nurse staffing

across acute and primary care settings.


Her career began in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, where she served as a Community Health Nurse in the Amansie West and Offinso South Districts and later as a Staff Nurse at Offinso. These early roles grounded her in primary care, public health, and community engagement,

shaping her patient-centred nursing approach. Miss Amoah later joined Nyaho Medical Centre as a Nursing Officer and rose through the ranks to her current role as a Nursing Services Manager. In this capacity, she provides strategic leadership in nursing operations, quality improvement, and mentoring.


In addition, she serves as an adjunct lecturer at some private universities and as the Secretary of the Ghanaian Diaspora Nursing Alliance (G-DNA), Southern Zone, where she fosters collaboration, professional networking, and capacity-building initiatives for nurses across Ghana and the diaspora.


Leadership & Achievements

She has authored nursing guidelines and policies that continue to shape nursing practice at the Nyaho Medical Centre.

Led the development of mentorship networks, connecting senior and junior nurses to foster professional growth in the field.

Recipient of the Best Manager Award (2021 and 2022) at Nyaho Medical Centre for outstanding performance in people management.

Served as Nursing Project Lead in establishing two satellite clinics at Nyaho Medical Centre, expanding access to quality healthcare services, and strengthening institutional capacity.

Led the development of the research strategy for the Nyaho Dove Foundation, strengthening the institution’s focus on research and evidence-based practice.
